Centre-based training for 2009 (Upcoming Event)

Centre-based training for volunteers is scheduled on 25 April (Sat) from 3 - 5pm. The children will come for 1 hour SHG (from 2 - 3pm) on that day.

The first training will be focus on allowing volunteers to understand the importance of volunteers in the SHG programme. At the same time, learn simple teaching theories to help them understand the children better, and share some techniques to help them in 'controlling' the child.

The training content is as follows:
1. Objective of SHG.
2. Roles of a volunteer (Mentor vs Teacher)
3. Cognitive development of a child (learning behaviour)+learning difficulties
4. Teaching Techniques (Simple guidelines of mentoring)
5. Behavioural Modification (Classroom Mangement)
